Britney Spears: The Breakdown

We’ve all been predicting a true meltdown from BRITNEY SPEARS, but assumed Britney would end up dead of an overdose or in jail after running over a bus full of school children, or perhaps marry a paparatzi and retire to a reclusive life (this one is still on the table). But a police stand-off where she’d taken 100 pills in a few short hours, barricade in a room until she could either be talked out or they broke the door down, and then strapped to a gurney and shuttled off to the hospital psych ward.

Of course, now we know the hospital released her the next morning, saying she was no longer a danger to herself. Yeah… right.

Her visitation rights for her children have been suspended until January 14th, when there will be another court hearing to determine her capacity to continue seeing them.

For everyone’s sake, I hope she finally gets the help that she needs, because it whatever she’s doing right now to cope (drugs, fast-food, partying) it just doesn’t seem to be working… that’s fair to say!
